When is your turn-over day?

-During July and August all the rentals are from Sunday to Sunday.  This enables us to provide an extra night stay when most other rentals are six nights, we are seven.  Outside of the peak months, it varies. 

When is your check in and out times?

-In most cases the check in is 4 PM and check out is 11 AM.

What is included in the rental?

-Items included in rental: Towels, Laundry detergent, Dish washer detergent, Paper towels, Toilet paper, Minimum of four beach chairs and two boogie boards, BBQ propane

Are there any additional costs?

In additional to the rental cost is a cleaning fee $200

‘Buena Vista’ house: Pool cleaning fee $100

‘Sun Dial’ house requires Village rental permit $100

Suffolk County Motel tax 3%

What should I bring?

-Suggested items to bring: Beach umbrella (many get damaged due to beach wind), Napkins, Shampoo/Conditioner/Soaps, Hair Dryer

Do I need keys to the house?

-The house keys are inside a lock box attached beside the front door of the house.

Can I show up early and drop off my belongings before my check-in time?

-NO.  Your rental period starts at the time indicated on the lease.  The cleaning staff has a very short turnover, allowing us to provide the maximum length of time for your stay.  Please respect this.  

Can I buy food and alcohol on the island?

-Yes.  In town there are markets that offer all conveniences as well as a liqor store.  However, it does cost more.

How do I get back my security deposit?

-If there is no damage or missing items, the security deposit is returned within 14 days or so, in check form, by mail.

Can I bring my own bicycle or surfboard?

-Yes. But you can not bring them onto the passenger ferry.  These items must be sent over using the freight boat.  For more information please call 631-647-3055 or email freight@fireislandferries.com

How old do I have to be to rent?

-25 years of age with proof of drivers license.
